Post-doctoral position in the group of Prof. Paolo Annibale at the University of St Andrews, Scotland

A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Prof. Paolo Annibale at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.

The postdoctoral fellow will join a growing team, and will develop novel instrumentation to study the interplay between geometry and cellular signalling in isolated cells, using a wide array of fluorescence and biosensing technologies combined with innovative nanotechnology and microfabrication approaches.

Past experience with the construction of optical setups and familiarity with fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy instrumentations are amongst the key skills we seek in a successful applicant.

The position is funded for 2 years, with the possibility of extension to up to 4.5 years, thus allowing both long-term professional development as well as personal/family planning.

St Andrews is a lovely town on the Eastern coast of Scotland, and a closely-knit academic community.

Curiosity, independent thinking and a willingness to work with others as a team player are key ingredients to succeed in the position, for which further details can be found here (MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from « deref-gmx.net » claiming to be https://www.vacancies.st-andrews.ac.uk/Vacancies/W/2061/0/377976/889/research-fellow-ar2779mr).
