Post-doctoral position in
Paris, France
We are seeking candidates for a one year post-doctoral position (possibility to extend to 18 months) supported by Institut Carnot on Microfluidics. This exploratory project covers the fields of hydrogels, filtration and microfluidics. The goal of the project is to develop selective hydrogel membranes that will be used to design microfluidic membrane based separation processes.
Our group is located at ESPCI, in laboratory SIMM (Soft Matter Science and Engineering).
Candidates with an experience in microfluidics and a taste for formulation are welcome. Interested candidates are invited to send a CV including the names of at least two contacts for reference to Cécile Monteux (Cecile.Monteux@espci.fr) and Bruno Bresson (Bruno.bresson@espci.fr)
Applications will be analyzed as they are received and this call will be closed as soon as a satisfactory application is received.
The position is expected to start in the fall of 2021 or early 2022.

PostDoc offer / Colloidal aggregation in the optimization of the water-treatment processes / Sapienza Rome
Dear Colleagues,
Applications are invited for one PhD position in experimental soft matter physics, to work with Dr. Simona Sennato and Prof. F. Bordi (Physics Department & Institute for Complex Systems, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy) and Dr. Domenico Truzzolillo (Laboratoire Charles Coulomb (L2C), Montpellier , France) on Colloidal aggregation in the optimization of the water-treatment processes.
More details about the position and the PhD work are in attachment. The deadline for applications is short-term: 27th October (14:00 Rome time). Starting date: 1st January 2022.
The PhD work will be performed mainly @ Phys. Dept. – Sapienza (Rome, Italy) with two long stages:
-1) in Montpellier @ L2C (at least 6 months)
-2) ACEA (Electricity and Water Municipal Utility), a multiutility operative in the management and development of networks and services in the water, energy and environmental sectors located in Rome.
(6 months not necessarily continuous)
(Details about the application procedure are on https://phd.uniroma1.it/web/concorso37pon.aspx?s=&i=3503&m=&l=EN&p=&a=).
The position is expected to be three years long. Candidates should have a Master degree in Physics, Material Science, or other related fields. Those with good knowledge of polymer physics, colloidal science and biophysics are preferred. Applicants are encouraged to send their curriculum vitae and their complete dossier via the portal https://phd.uniroma1.it/web/concorso37pon.aspx?s=&i=3503&m=&l=EN&p=&a=
Best,
